crossing the

The waters
have risen
And every
path feels like a mountain climb
Your trees
block the way
To the forest
I once knew
And I am
stuck treading shallow waters
As I try to
make it through
Lost is a
lonely journey
When you
must wander all alone
Where another
once shared the vision
And wanted to
share a home
Where was
the bridge we should have burned
And where is
the one we should cross
