Bully in Red

Photo by Pedro Sandrini from Pexels

July sun shines hard on my skin
Making me wish there was a little more wind
It is muggy and humid and hard to breathe
Maybe I should pack up and just leave
Head to Montana or Colorado would be good
High in the mountains in the shady woods
A place where July is not a bully in red
Where I can enjoy the outdoors not dripping in sweat.

  1. That is exactly July. And out of Texas sounds good, at least for a few days! :)

  2. I'm going to close my eyes... and travel to Montana or Colorado with this poem. Love the cooling imagery!

  3. Bully in red...oh how heat will do it too. I woukd like to travel someplace cool too...like in a time machine to Siberia in the winter in the 1800's!!

  4. Carrie, you're welcome to come to our place in the mountains. The sun is
quite hot, but there's always a breeze. Your poem is what I feel, also.
