Love & Light

Linking with the Sunday Muse for Muse # 129
Come join us!

Love must be as much a light as a flame. ~Henry David Thoreau

When love is lost it searches the night like a lit lantern and moonlight

Reaching blindly with hands wide open

Touching everything in sight

Treading to the farthest point

Beyond all the places it has ever been

It lets all who cross its path know

I am here

Do not close your eyes

I am here

Open your heart.

  1. This was well written. ;) The light of love Carrie. Yes, open your heart. We all seek it, we don’t all find it. I am convinced DT Pimpkinhead has never known real love. To me that is the only explanation for him.

  4. Carrie, I have learned from the poetry you share that love surrounds you. Yes, I am going to give it the old college try.

  6. Beautiful, resonant ending. When love is lost, it has not disappeared, even if we can't see it where we wish it to be. A wise and lyrical poem, Carrie.
