An Elaborate Plan

Linking with     Imaginary Gardens for Fussy Little Forms: Shadorma
Imagined by Marian

The Shadorma form is:
  • A six-line poem (or series of six-line stanzas)
  • Syllable count by line: 3-5-3-3-7-5
  • Not rhymed

My soul is in the sky.  ~William Shakespeare

This body
 is grounded held to
 this earth by
  gravity
a force we cannot see nor
touch with tethered hands

The inner

soul that rides within
tarries light
hidden from
view waiting for the gates to
open wide and clear

It is an

elaborate plan
no man could
design it
nor engineer the true code
it is in God's hands.

  1. A truly excellent poem. Yes it is all in God's hands. I love the "Shakespeare" feel to this.

  7. This is so incredibly profound, especially like; "The inner soul that rides within tarries light hidden from view waiting for the gates to open wide and clear."
