An Elaborate Plan

Linking with     Imaginary Gardens for Fussy Little Forms: Shadorma
Imagined by Marian

The Shadorma form is:
  • A six-line poem (or series of six-line stanzas)
  • Syllable count by line: 3-5-3-3-7-5
  • Not rhymed

My soul is in the sky.  ~William Shakespeare

This body
 is grounded held to
 this earth by
  gravity
a force we cannot see nor
touch with tethered hands

The inner

soul that rides within
tarries light
hidden from
view waiting for the gates to
open wide and clear

It is an

elaborate plan
no man could
design it
nor engineer the true code
it is in God's hands.

Her Name Is Autumn

Linking with Poets United Midweek Motif ~ Autumn

No spring nor summer’s beauty hath such grace
As I have seen in one Autumnal face....
~John Donne

I wait for her quietly like a leaf upon the wind.
Longing for her true presence to awaken me again.
Then slowly she enters like a princess into a room.
Glowing in auburn grace that speaks to me like the moon.
October she whispers much to my surprise.
It is my birthday she goes on and then
before I know it
she leaves me with a sigh.

Like Looking into the Eyes of a Lover

Google Images

"The moon lives in the lining of your skin."
~ Pablo Neruda

Like looking
into the eyes of a lover
I find myself spellbound
at the sight of you
 I look on
in your direction
every chance I can
like a man
with a beautiful
woman in view
my eyes follow
the curves
and it feels like
you follow me
on my path
do you feel
it to?
the pull
the longing
to be closer
or is it
just a
spell
that
you
have
cast
upon
me
alone
like
a
forlorn
gypsy
may
pickpocket
a fool?
If I
shall be
a fool
then
let it be
yours!

Galloping with Horses

Linking with  Imaginary Gardens for "The Tuesday Platform" imagined by Magaly
and because I feel like double dipping  I am also linking with
Poets United for Midweek Motif ~ Animals
brought to us by Susan

Galloping with horses
is where my soul rides
there are no saddles
and there are no fence lines
only a hard cool breeze
that flows through our mane
with the soft ground beneath
and the wild open range
we run and we gallop
and we fly like the wind
looking to the distance
as a long lost friend
for galloping with horses
is where my soul rides
there are no saddles
and there are no fence lines.
